I, myself, had similar thoughts but went to see a speech therapist in my late teens/early twenties. It made a great difference. I still block at the most inconvenient of times, but it's not nearly as bad as it used to be. It's different to speech therapy as a kid, you're more mature, you're fully aware of what's at stake, you're more willing to put in the hard work.
