Do you prefer getting your sentences finished?

Do you prefer getting your sentences finished? I am asking cause i myself have a stutter, but i have decided to challenge myself and give a lecture on stuttering at my school. In my presentation i have a point where i advice people on how to react whenever they meet at stutterer. Personally i hate it when people finish my sentences. But I also know that its a topic with mixed opinions. So what do you prefer and why?
