having a stutter has made me realize how much people love hearing themselves talk i would say 99% of the people i encounter don’t care that i have a stutter, and would continue to talk to me regardless. but that doesn’t mean they don’t cut in with their own anecdote .5 seconds after a slight block. it seems these days if you don’t talk completely uninterrupted you will get cut off with random bullshit. idk if it’s an ego thing or a short attention span thing (or maybe a combination of both). i’m sure they don’t mean any harm, but god damn stop thinking about yourself for a moment this isn’t your open mic night lmao it’s a conversation
