This is truly awful, I’m so sorry that was your experience. Honestly it could count as discrimination so definitely speak to HR. I went through a lengthy interview process recently, and I immediately disclosed my stammer, mainly because I know if I stammer and haven’t told them, I panic and stammer more (not that I should, nor have to disclose it at all) but it just encourages people to approach me a little bit more sensitively!
