Most of the time when I tell someone it makes things so much more comfortable. Occasionally the person will look at me with pitty and talk to me like a child, I forgive them for being ignorant that stuttering has nothing to do with intelligence. Rarely someone will laughing uncomfortably. Trying to hide it doesn't work and is stressful, the reactions of others says more about them than about you.
