I got downvoted to hell last time I mentioned this. But I have a real I'd say medium level stutter. Some days I'm fairly fluent others I can't get a word out. But when I was in high school everyone basically had known me since grade one, everyone knew I had a stutter and no one really cared by the time we were in years 11 and 12 so during oral presentations if my presentation wasn't going long enough I'd pad it out with a bit of extra fake stuttering. The teachers would never mark me down for it and the class either thought it was a normal stutter or knew what I was doing. My thinking was if I have to put up with a stutter for life I may was well use it to my advantage on the very rare occasion I can.
