I'm usually pretty positive and pro-therapy. Let me take that hat off. High school was rough. I was angry about my stutter. My anger was more of a problem than my stutter when it came to socialization. Unless someone is being blatantly an asshole about your stutter, try not to get in a twist. Give people the benefit of the doubt. Most of them are decent humans. We all have our moments when we aren't our best selves. Don't internalize their weaker moments as a failure of your stutter. Give them a pass. More importantly, give yourself a pass. Be yourself. Don't change to hide your stutter. People will like you better than a facade. You stutter. Everyone has their insecurities. Yours is, unfortunately, on display. Own it. No different than building physical strength, you need to build some emotional strength.
