Thought I'd share I've stuttered my whole life, its not excessive but I still get stuck on a word every now and then. I wanted to share a couple observations: when I read something in front of people or a crowd, I don't stutter at all. When I speak out of my own words is when I stutter. For instance, I will host a lecture sometimes to a group in my church. Its as nerve racking as can be. But when I read a passage from the Bible or something written down, I won't stutter at all. Its only until I start speaking from own mind/thoughts. I speak in Spanish at times and I stutter way more in spanish. I noticed that I stutter with words that start with vowels, and spanish has a lot of them. From my experience its all very mental, and do feel the disconnect from what I want to say and being able to actually move my mouth to say it.
