Stutter, brain tumor and brain surgery

Stutter, brain tumor and brain surgery I have had a stutter all my life. No other explanation than 'poor speech motor skills'. Practice/speech therapy would never help me. I went to have a MRI almost 2 years ago and a cerebellar tumor was discovered. Docs immediately told me that it is benign and not growing. I could have had it all my life according to them. "Can it be related to my life long stutter?" I asked. "It's possible, since cerebellum is partly responsible for speech motor control" they replied. But they added that a surgery is unlikely to cure the stutter. I knew that. What I wanted to know is whether I would be able to talk at all after a surgery. But I did not want to ask this question. I read about a condition called cerebellar mutism that can happen after a cerebellar surgery. That scared the shit out of me. Fortunately the tumor is not growing... I don't even want to think about post-surgery life.
