For anyone willing to do this I would highly recommend working in a retirement community. I have been working in one is a few acres big and I see so many residents come in every day who I think of as my huge extended family. A lot of the people are great and once they get to know you a little a lot of them don’t even care or notice your stutter. I have a moderate stutter too and have always been self conscious about it. I hear all the time though that people don’t notice or care about it. I work as a busser/server in the dining room and love it. If you want a job that doesn’t feel like a job and is more than fulfilling then go and fill out an application at your nearest retirement community. I still stutter but working here has made me feel more like it doesn’t matter, it’s just another accent.
