Im not the op, but Ive interviewed for law enforcement positions from local departments to federal jobs. One department I know didnt take me because i stuttered really bad. They didnt tell me why but I was the only interview who was asked to be recorded. Someone higher up probably made the decision and said fuck no. I did better on interviews for the federal jobs which pay a lot more. Rarely stuttered because I practiced before hand and kind of had everything laid on on what to say. I got that job and I'm here now. I'm making 1.5x as much as the local department and will be 2x as much in 3 years. Key thing to do is practice. Apply for internships or jobs you don't care about. Use the interviews as practice and for the interview on the job you do want, you'll end up doing better than expected.
