Although I think that there is no way to completely cure stuttering, I think that a very high fluency rate can be achieved by following a reliable plan consistently and believing in yourself. It seems like the reason why we stutter is because we picked up bad speech habits when we were younger, and these traits got wired into the brain, so now when we speak, it is an automatic response to stutter. The good news is that the brain is not hard-wired; it is soft-wired, so certain traits and habits can be unlearned and replaced with new ones with proper training. There's no easy way out of it, but it is possible, you just have to be determined.
