Is there discussion in the Speech Impairment community of pharmaceutical approaches to stuttering? I don't stutter however I do have ADHD and observe in myself the inattentive "drift" off course of focus/ consciousness of certain immediate tasks I am performing. (Playing/learning to play piano). The wrong notes that jump out of my drifting fog are, I am told, are the result of "playing too fast." The pedagogic approach is to "go slow" until I've built up (speed....fluency). This "slowing down" seems to require something of me that is harder than I imagine it should naturally be. I have decades long experience with prescribed stimulant medications and I have no doubt about their positive effectiveness for Attention Deficit in my case. Thanks in advance for your thoughts. I like to explore worlds. Namaste
