this is so true. when i’m alone, i don’t stutter. when i’m drunk or get really angry, i don’t stutter either. i realize that when i speak to others, i tense up and i anticipate the stutter which makes me stutter. Speech therapy has helped in the past but only for a bit. The thing is, we know how to speak. Most of us could speak perfectly when we’re alone. Im certain I stutter because of anxiety.
