This. I can luckily say "I have a speech impediment." With dependable fluency. Most people then whether ignorant or childish will apologize. Some people feel TERRIBLE I find these are good people and I tell them not to worry. I just hope those people will give less fluent folks more time without saying take your time or trying to "help" us by throwing words at us. It's one of those things I can say pretty fast in my brain there is no space in the word. It's a thoughtful "I" followed by "Haveaspeechimpediment"
