I feel that. I had other speech problems, so I had to go to speech therapy anyway. It was frustrating trying to explain that I couldn’t help my stutter, but luckily my other speech issues were helped. The best piece of advice I ever received was from singing lessons. When singing, you’re supposed to start off a phrase with a kind of weak breath, almost H sound, to protect your vocal cords. Since I’ve always been able to sing without stuttering, I decided to try and apply it to normal speech, and it kinda works. The only problem is when I start stuttering in the middle of a sentence, but it still helps.
