Hey. Sorry for taking so long. Been very busy. I mean I stutter while moving my fingers on the guitar. Playing the actual instrument. My fingers get stuck and I can´t play the next note. It´s the same feeling as talking. If I try to push the block I stammer with my fingers. That´s why I argument that stuttering it´s not neccesarily or unique a speech-related problem. A friend of mine also stutter while playing golf. Most people, particulary speech-speacialist, just see the stuttering enigma a speech related problem. So they miss the big picture and their solution doesn´t involve the complete puzle. They have a narrow idea of what they are trying to solve. I hope your strategy works. It seems very reliable and well founded. Please keep me update of your recent succes/failures/learning. I strongly believe that part of the solution is understanding and observing the process. Soon you will notice patterns and identify what makes you stutter the most. In that sense, keeping a journal is not the worst idea. About your question, while I´m having a block I tend to be strongly unconscious so anything that I intend to do, like sending command signals to my body its very hard to apply. However, after or before the block, when my focus and attention comes back, I do try to be aware of my execute speech movements. The tension in my jaw, toungue, stomach and larynx. Is it in the observing and noticing of the tension, that the muscle relax by itself and then I feel much more at ease and I tend to block less when being in a state of relaxation and fluency with myself. Take care friend. Hope u are doing fine.
