Hey! Everyone's stutter is different and flares up at different times. When I was at the end of my schooling to become a Registerd Dietitian is when my stutter became severe. When I would go visit with patients I would block to the point where I was barely able to speak. Two things got me passed this point that I thought was the end of my potential career. 1) The patients were so kind to me, and 2) I found a local stuttering group where I was able to connect with others who stuttered. Before this, I had never met anyone else who stuttered. Between those two things, somehow I was able to face my stutter and get a job in a hospital after graduation. All I'm trying to say is, don't let the stutter stop you. You'll end up being a better nurse for it becasue of your emotional inteligence gained from being neurotically aware of your own speech.
