I’m really excited to hear that I’m not the only one that sees my hypothesis! And yes you are right. You can’t react to something that hasn’t happened yet. To some extent I believe somebody can predict with a level of certainty what they will stutter on, but there‘a also a level of the PWS creating their stuttering by predicting it. Like my original analogy, a car can exist but won’t drive without fuel. The car may roll a little bit because it has a base level of function, but without fuel it can’t run with any real power. In the same way stuttering can exist at a base level, but cannot exist with any power or subjective significance without emotion, typically speaking. I’m becoming more confident that the cure to stuttering is actually a a large combination of a variety of research that already exists from a variety of fields. The key is putting it all together so that it is easily accessible to the average person.
