In my experience, the more elevated the environment, the better the class of people (on average.) As such, I expect that sample of the population may be a more tolerant group of people than the general population. They might look down on you for your shoes, but not for a disability or a stutter. Purely anecdotal, but I can recall times in my early 20's where my stutter was received poorly at a bar or party. At that same time of my life, I can't recall anyone at school ever being insensitive. Assume the best of people. I truly expect things to go better than you expect.
