“I would be happy if I didn’t stutter”

“I would be happy if I didn’t stutter” This ^ is a fallacy. Many innately unhappy people give themselves a false illusion of conditional happiness. Swap stutter with literally anything else ex. I would be happy if I wasn’t broke, fat, this height, this marginalized group. There is a reason the high majority of lottery winners are stricken with horrible sadness after they win. My advice is to remove that false conditional happiness in your mind. Stuttering is paradoxical and complex beyond my understanding but, I know that embracing stoicism and choosing positivity is making the most of given circumstances. Edit: some examples of what makes me happier than most fluent people: gym, cold showers, jiu jitsu, growing discipline, sunlight, reading 2 books a week, meditation, etc… anything challenging that involves delayed gratification and struggle. Stuttering becomes the least of my worries when I make other things in my life become hard.
