Forced Handedness and stuttering - disproven?

Forced Handedness and stuttering - disproven? Hi, All — I’ve gone down a bit of a rabbit hole on forced handedness being related to stuttering. Forced handedness meaning, a kid who should have been a lefty being forced to write with their right hand. The National Stuttering Association says on an FAQ page on myths that this “has been disproven in most studies since 1940”, but they don’t list any sources. I do concur that most references to this idea are pretty old. Can anyone point to any modern studies on this either for or against the idea? Thanks!
