Do you know if he gets therapy from someone who specialise in stuttering? That makes a huge difference. Most speech therapists know little about stuttering. Stuttering is not that common. I'm in your position as well, just with a younger boy. I stutter myself so i know from personal experience that most therapists can't help at all. Finding someone who knows what they're doing is important.
