It doesn't hurt to ask. When I don't feel confident in my speech I ask the teacher If I can present in another way like writing something instead, record myself or presenting infront of just a few friends instead of the whole class. So just ask the teacher. The teacher should help you do the best you can, that's why they are there. And no one will think you are weird, they are probably too stressed about their own presentation.
