Not in day to day conversation, just whenever I need to say my name. It works roughly 75% of the time, which I'll take all day long. As an example, I used to use this method a lot in college. At the beginning of the semester the professor would always have us introduce ourselves one by one. Right as the person before me was finishing, I would start. I would block on the "N" in Name's Jeff, but no one noticed because the person before me was still speaking. Like I said, this doesn't work all of the time, but it definitely helped me get through the first day of a lot of classes.
