I commend you for your take, but I will play devils advocate. The fact that a 50 year old cant control themselves and laugh at a disability is ignorant, sad, and yes, offensive. Are you going to laugh at someone who you see having a seizure for the first time? For me, how we handle it does not remove the fact that she acted like a childish idiot. If this was a 18 year old I may give a pass. But Im not condoning that behavior for a 50 year old adult. I wholeheartedly agree with your tact though. We need to have short memories and move on. And we can not dwell on this as it just creates fear for us.
