Will be teaching a student who stutters in the fall Hello. I'm a high school teacher at a small private school and a student who stutters will be joining our school in the fall. I will be teaching him for two class periods per day, and I also organize the high school social events. This student and a friend visited our school last week. He didn't speak at all while visiting and was unable to speak when another teacher asked his name. I've been told that his stutter is extremely severe. He will be joining with a friend from his old school, which I'm glad about, but I both want to make sure this student (and his friend) also integrate into the class and that school is a positive experience for him next year. I would love some insight on what did or would have helped you to have a good school experience, especially at that age.
