Thanks for your answer! I think the kid does feel insecure about his stutter, as far as I can tell. Unfortunately when we try and talk to him about it he often doesn't answer. We also tried offering that we do some of the exercises that he does with his speech therapist together with the other kids but he really didn't want that either. That's why I was unsure and wanted to ask people with similar experiences their opinion.
