I am currently unemployed, and I am uneasy applying for jobs that entail phone work. I used to be a receptionist at two locations that had multi-line phones, and I even worked at a phone survey lab (in college). My voice problems didn't begin giving me trouble until my second receptionist job. I eventually lost that job. . . they tried to work with me for quite a while, reassigning me to different departments until we both decided it was time for me to leave. That was over twenty years ago, and I still have problems talking on the phone.
