You nailed it when you said we survive instead of live or enjoy, that's the I way feel too. Despite of my sadness, I have a little hope in what some people have discussed here in the community about the fact that non-stutters are not paying too much attention on us because they are too busy with their own problems. I think this behavior can help us to do what we want to do and try to enjoy and living life without the bad impressions people might have with our stutter, because they are apparently too occupied to notice or overrate it. But I'm still considering what I think it will supposed to happen: people will notice my stutter and I'm gonna lose many job opportunities and social interaction because of that. It's by biggest fear, btw. And what you think? Do people around you notice your stutter and underrate you for it?
