What are the positive side-effects that stuttering gave to you? For me these are: 1. I know loads of synonyms in my native language, which makes me seem more sophisticated. 2. I don't like when I'm interrupted during my speech, therefore I'm more patient with other people. 3. Writing emails, or just generally communitacing in written forms are usually much easier for me. 4. When my stuttering gets worse, I know there's something problem in my life. It doesn't really let ignore the stressful events of my life, therefore I'm more motivated to work on them. 5. Stuttering functions as a filter in my relationships: I neither want a person in my life who thinks stutterers are idiots or annoying. 6. I can be extremely grateful when my stuttering eases: I can feel such a happines just because of speaking that people who don't stutter can't imagine. 7. I used to attend psychotherapy because of it (and other mental illnesses), therefore I have very good self-knowledge up to my age (and to many people). What are the positive sides of yours? :)
