Hi, so yes stuttering can be inherited if there are others in the family that also stutters. For my case, my cousin on my dad's side stutters and I stutter also. Passed it down to my daughter who stutters. My son didn't get the bad genetics, he doesn't stutter. I am quite mild and my daughter is also very mild when she was a kid. She seemed to grow out of it by her teenage years, I am unsure if it will return.
