Singing and speaking are very different processes in the brain. But since there is not cure for the stutter and thus no scientific definitive explanation on the biological source of stuttering, I’m going to say it would be difficult to say with certainty why one can sing without any stops or blocks. Definitely another vexing part of this terrible birth defect.
