I would say that my stutter also feels related to anxiety/hightened emotions. These emotions definitely can make it worse but typically isn't the cause. For me around a quarter of my stuttering is there no matter what I'm feeling, what the occasion is, who I'm w/ etc. The other 75% is when I feel a hightened emotion, it's not caused by it bc I'll have a stutter either way and, even if it was, it's not my fault.
