The less the blood flow the lower the neural activity thus severer the stutter. In both cases , the deficit is in the broca s area. I do agree thAt for broca s aphasia patients , stuttering is just the accompanying problem with many other kinds of speech difficulties other than disfluency Are you saying that if we go to a neurologist he does a brain scan , he wont be able to differentiate a stutterers brain from a normal without a control. Would he just say there is nothing wrong with your brain even despite the new studies that found abnormal neural activity and structural abnormalities?
