Actually, 1% is a huge number of people. You HAVE met them. Or, rather, seen them. You just don't know it cause many stutters, you know, do not talk a lot. And some avoid interactive situations as much as possible. So, of the 1%, some are not in public much. But, the actual percentage is high. Think of how many people you pass on a day when you're in public for a few hours. Hundreds, yeah? A few of those people probably stutter....
