I know where you are coming from. I'm 20 and have a stutter, in high school I was going to go into programming but I realized that I didn't want to do it as a job. When trying to figure out what to do with my life I realized what you did (In all jobs you have to talk with people). The biggest thing is acceptance, there are nice people out there that don't care about your stutter, but just about you as a person. I have came to accept my stutter (for the most part) and I'm now a junior in college to be a high school history teacher. In school I was a part of my school's nation honor society and I'm now an education ambassador for my college. I know you might now want to hear this, but I would try to find those moments or times in school where you can practice. Try to build up confidence. I still get nervous when talking with anyone, but if you try to avoid it then your fear will grow. When it comes to looking for a job, do want you enjoy. You want to have a job that you want to do, not one that you hate. In high school I worked in my school's IT department. I worked at a help desk and helped students and staff with their computers. AI isn't just going for those who stutter, but I would build up skills that employers want. Be somebody that is willing to learn and can problem solve. It won't matter if you stutter because you will have skills that others won't. For me as a future educator, AI is going to replace me. My goal is to be a teacher that can help those students with disabilities. I want to have a student with a stutter so I can help them, because I never had that. I see my stutter as a benefit. I think that employers will have so many candidates that are all "normal" and then I stroll in and stutter a little during the interview. I will stand out as the guy that stuttered. My stutter gives me something that make me unique. Be who you want to be, don't let your stutter stand in the way. If you or anyone needs anything I am willing to answer any questions.
