I second your thoughts on speech therapy. Practicing techniques with board games and reading was not that helpful. It doesn’t emulate real life situations. The helpful part was actually talking about my stutter with other like minded people. I did however have a therapist who would take me on trips to random stores and had me ask questions to employees. That was the really helpful and super nerve racking.
