How it comes about is a fascinating topic to me. I've thought about what happens in my brain that causes me to stutter my entire life. Maybe a good discussion would be comparing older, and more common (perhaps disproved) theories about the origin of stuttering to more recent ones that are more unheard of. If that is too much research or too deep of a dive for your episode, you could talk about stuttering and its relationship to highly sensitive people, a group i feel i share a lot of similarities with Or... Something I'm thankful for in the modern world that helps to ease some speaking anxiety is the rise of the online order. Delivery apps, mobile check-outs and other text-based communication systems that mean less time on the phone stuttering, really help me to not worry about it as much. Its probably not helping my speech to hide behind an app but some days i just wear down and don't need to speak anymore. Just the two cents of a person who stutters. I would like to listen to the episode when it comes out, please let me know!
