Yep, that's one of the common effects of stuttering. Not everyone has the classic s-s-s-tutter all the time. Sometimes I'll elonnnnnnnngate a syllable to give myself time to overcome the block. But really, I experience all of them. I think the best tip is self-acceptance and management of the symptoms. Mental health services are underrated and I highly recommend it -- you gotta accept who you are and be the happiest you can. Speech therapy can help you understand what's happening and learn mechanics to help. Yeah dude/gal, you're not alone. It can be tough but this is life and best to accept things as they are so you can move on and live good. And honestly, I recently developed tinnitus and it's worse than stuttering. So be grateful for what you have.
