Yes I have but I only found out later after I had the position for 5 years and I received a better opportunity to go elsewhere. Long story short my immediate supervisor recommended me for the position five years earlier, his immediate supervisor thought that I couldn’t handle it because of my stutter. I had good relationships with both and they were used as references at my new position. I only found this out before I was getting ready to leave. I always suspected people doubting me but I thrived on proving myself, so it just helped me. Use it as fuel to prove yourself and do the best you can.
