I have a friend who went into the Air Force reserves. They trained him in IT. Even with stutter he did very well and is now an IT manager for a major national insurance company. He has remained in the reserves. Has just used his VA benefits to but his first family home. It is now illegal for any government agency to discriminate against stutterers. Go for it!
