A caring person should understand the problem and support you despite the fear of talking/stuttering. That being said we as stutters aren’t always able to “choose” a partner like normal people, it often boils down to whatever comes our way or shows interest, which can mean we attract the wrong type, the manipulators and the narcissists :(
