Yes, and it sucks because a lot of what I do can be critical. I work on the blue collar side of ExxonMobil. It's literally my dream job. I've worked industrial construction all my life and had a few issues here and there, but it's normally do your job and go home. But here, I have to present myself to groups all the time, speak directly to console on a walkie-talkie (probably the worst part), and be in real critical situations where one miscommunication on my end can be detrimental. I didn't know I'd HAVE to speak so much. I'm just open and honest to anyone I speak to and let them know I stutter. Once that's established, it gets a little easier. I tried doing speech therapy as a kid and it made it worse. It made me feel like something was wrong with me and I was already dealing with bullying. It was rough bro. My stutter is still bad but I'm okay with it now which makes my life a lot easier. I'm challenged everyday though.
