I love everything /u/babyjet321 said and second all of that. I think high school is the worst time to be a stutterer, personally. You're in a place where you want to be an individual, but you also have no control over your life yet. And being a stutterer can feel like just another facet of that, we tend to lump a lot of stuff under that umbrella of 'no control'. But as you begin gaining independence, at some point you will (hopefully) begin realizing the things you have control over. Talking to someone you like. Choosing to answer a question in class. Making that phone call. All of that stuff we tend to think we *can't do* because we're not fluent. We actually can, we just avoid it out of fear and anxiety and doubt. The more we expose ourselves to these little independences, the less dread we attach to them. There are tons of successful and happy adult stutterers out there :)
