I’m so sorry. Did anything change in your environment or your health? Did your have an unpleasant interaction or disappointment? You said your were active in many organizations in high school but since your stuttering increased you don’t want the be involved anymore. You need to realize that stuttering is fluid. It can change, becoming more or less severe without an obvious cause. Don’t pass up the chance for college. The more education you have the greater will be your confidence and that will lessen your overall anxiety. Have hope once school starts any anxiety you might be feeling will subside once you get your feet wet. As far as hesitating to join groups, if your speech is what’s making you feel uncomfortable, join anyway. Once others see you as a whole person, regardless if you’re as fluent as they are, you’ll feel accepted. It’s a shame to allow fluency to define you. Go for it. Don’t allow your goals to be overcome by your fear. Sue
