Any advice to help a colleague? Hello all, I hope you are well! I was looking for a little advice to help someone I work with who has a stutter. For context it’s a customer support role that involves mostly text comments however there are times where we have to make/take calls too. He’s understandably really anxious about the calls and I can see that even though he’s doing well at them, his self confidence is down and the anxiety makes his stutter worse so he’s in a bad cycle. I do team coaching and just wondered if anyone has any advice/ tips that I could work into his coaching to help him? He’s a lovely young man and impressive in that he’s trying harder than other people on the team even though he’s the most anxious. I just want to give him some tailored support that’s educated and can help him not be so hard on himself. Any advice would be greatly appreciated especially if anyone has a similar experience, what helped you? Thank you
