I work accounting for a utility company, but have to handle the phone pretty often actually (2-3 hours a day). My stutter is mild and isn't a stutter, but speech blocking. Honestly, the worst this is H's. I'm always supposed to end with, "Have a nice day!" I've blocked so many times and just ended the calls with "thank you". The good side of this job is it's challenging me. Not the work, but the speaking. It really, really is challenging. I've never brought up my speech to my co-workers or boss, but I think they've noticed by now. All in all, your job shouldn't be limited by your speech. You can be a great worker! If your stutter isn't mild/moderate, be up front about it. Let them know that you will work your ass off to make up for that. Do you man.
