How do you deal with your stuttering when talking on the phone? 19M Hey guys, so I have been stuttering all my life (with it picking up in the past couple years) and while I took therapy, feel more comfortable with talking to people, and overall accept the fact that I stutter, talking on a phone still makes me sweat. The problem that I'm trying to deal with right now is when I pick up the phone and saying hello. For some reason, I tend to stutter when saying hello and I feel annoyed and embarrassed when the person on the other line has to either hearing me stutter or deal with the awkward silence while I'm trying to collect myself. Once I having a conversation, my stuttering is not as serious. As much as I wish to think that texting will replace calling, I know I have overcome this sooner or later. Do any of you guys have the same problem that I have? What could I do to try to mitigate this?
