I think every stutterer has the fantasy of how popular, attractive, and great with people they would be if they didn't stutter, and it's completely understandable. The danger is believing that 1. You're the only one 2. Everyone else is living your dream. Everyone else has their own version of that fantasy with a different trait filled in. Everyone has something holding them back from some idealized version of themselves. And that idealized version IS a fantasy. It's unattainable.... for everyone. The good news is that while it is unattainable, you can still work towards it. That looks different for everyone, but it's still true nonetheless. For me, it was a mix of confronting difficult speech situations (with a focus on the attempt, not the result), and doing things for myself that made me happy. I hope something I said can help you.
